California Background Check On the morning of April 11, 1981 the brutal murder of three individuals took place in a small resort cabin located in Northern California. John Sharp, his mother Susan, and friend Dana Wingate were found beaten to death. Three children of the family remained alive and untouched in the next room, however the youngest daughter, Tina was missing.
The walls and furniture of the cabin were vandalized, but no one in the surrounding area seemed to hear the terror that took place inside. The motive for this horrific crime remains unknown. The tragic event eventually led residents to move out of the area, leaving it a ghost town. To this day, no one knows why this poor family was terrorized and killed.
