On a spring day in 1988, a family in Deer Creek Canyon in Colorado was experiencing problems with their bathroom plumbing. They tried several remedies but to no avail. Left with no other option, the family opened the septic tank and discovered a body hidden inside. The body was later identified by investigators as Jim William Murray, known to locals as “Crazy Jim.” Murray had been reported missing 3 years earlier by his family. He was reportedly preparing for a trip to Arizona, but was not heard from since. After Murray's death became public, officials received some information regarding his disappearance, but no information that would lead to the apprehension of any suspects.
